Daniel expanded his portfolio into still life and jewellery photography—an area that demanded exceptional visual precision, technical expertise, and patience.
During the analog film era, he produced 80% of the images for this 200-page coffee table book using a large-format camera system, demonstrating meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail.

This was another postcard series commissioned by Singapore Post, recreating Singapore’s multi-racial breakfast culture of the 1960s. Daniel meticulously sourced vintage props and personally directed the art direction to authentically capture the spirit of the era during the shoot.

GLOBAL Y2K CELEBRATION
PROJECT
As the internet era began to emerge, Daniel joined a global photography project initiated in Toronto, Canada, inviting photographers worldwide to document the 24 hours of New Year’s Eve 2000.
Using his newly acquired high-end Phase One digital camera, he captured Singapore’s Orchard Road celebrations and transmitted selected images online the very next morning—marking an early step into the digital age of photography.

Since the late 1980s, Daniel has photographed for many leading English and Chinese fashion magazines. His cover work for the acclaimed Chinese magazine Bohemian (波希米亞) stands as one of his most remarkable achievements, earning him strong recognition and an excellent reputation in the industry during the 1990s.

ORCHIDS EXIBITION
In 1997, Daniel presented his first exhibition showcasing studio-photographed orchids of various species. Through careful lighting and composition, the collection highlighted the intricate beauty, texture, and elegance of these remarkable blooms.
